Rebecca, Sydney, January
Fiona, Neutral Bay, June 2009
My partner and I started with 1/2 dozen oysters and bruschetta and should have had the whole dozen, as they were delicious. We then followed with mains of veal with bok choy, prawns and mash with veal sauce (superb and very tender with delicious large fresh prawns) and Ricotta and spinach agnolotti with sauted mushrooms and snow peas for my partner. The pasta was nice but not as standout as the meat dishes, so I'd definitely go for a 'proper' main at this restaurant, as they had some great specials as well.
We managed to fit all this in and top it off with dessert-the warm almond & date pudding with butterscotch sauce & ice cream was absolutely DIVINE :) I couldn''t even finish it, though I tried valiantly, while my partner had banana crepes (good but not as amazing as mine).
I should also say the decor and ambience was really nice, warm and inviting with nice lighting and the waitresses were lovely-attentive without being overpowering and with a sense of humour and personality too-definitely not stand-off-ish. This is the nicest dinner I've had in a long time and very well priced too.
I was also given a card with your website detail and I was pleased to discover you have specials on here so I can come again soon.
